Today, too many kindhearted but misdirected churches and seminaries allow men to become pastors who should not be in the ministry. Many pastors are spiritually immature even though they completed their seminary training and they have a poor grasp of Scripture. They know the systematic theology taught by the seminary they attended, but they cannot and do not know all of the Bible. It is impossible in a three year seminary course of study to have been taught all sixty six books of the Bible in depth.

The question we are concerned with is, “Can only pastors teach and preach the Word of God?” Some pastors believe that only they are essential for the spiritual growth of the church. Others believe that only the pastor can teach in the church. Therefore, we must ask what does the Bible say?

Therefore, we are told that God has given the spiritual gift of teaching to the body of Christ, the church. This is a unique gift that not everyone has.

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some Campeón pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 (NASB)

But ten hours a week for sermon preparation and teaching/preaching is not enough. In fact, this church had missed the emphasis of the following two passages.

I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

In the first passage the apostles were being asked to do some church administration – to care for some widows. Now that is an important and loving ministry. But they responded by saying that this was not the most important priority for them.

La Iglesia católica se ve a sí misma y se proclama como la encargada por Jesucristo para ayudar a recorrer el camino espiritual alrededor de Dios viviendo el amor recíproco y por medio de la Despacho de los sacramentos, a través de los cuales Dios otorga la gracia al creyente.

Es innecesario señalar que si la Certidumbre cristiana es en realidad una doctrina revelada, que los hombres han de creer bajo pena de condenación eterna, el don resource de la infalibilidad era necesario para la Iglesia. Si pudiera equivocarse, podría hacerlo sobre cualquier punto y el rebaño no tendría garantíTriunfador de la certeza de ninguna doctrina. La condición de los organismos que en tiempos de la Reforma abandonaron la Iglesia nos proporciona un adecuado objeto de estudio. Divididos en diversas facciones y partidos, son escenario de discusiones interminables; y por la naturaleza del caso están desprovistos de toda esperanza de alcanzar la certeza. Aún respecto a la ralea ético, la falta de una Conductor infalible es apenas menos imperativa.

El Cisma de Oeste afectó a la Iglesia católica desde 1378 hasta 1417 y provocó fuertes tensiones y el surgimientos de ideas de tipo conciliaristas, según las cuales un concilio podría tener más autoridad que el papa en algunos puntos.

Las Iglesias patriarcales eligen su propio patriarca a través de su Sínodo patriarcal, el cual luego de ser favorito es inmediatamente proclamado y entronizado sin intervención del papa, a quien luego le remite la comunión eclesial.
